PI Network price nears $0.10 after 11% surge
Pi Network price has returned close to $0.10 after gaining more than 11% over 24 hours.
Summary
- Pi Network price jumped 11% as buyers returned, but the broader downtrend remains firmly intact.
- PI must reclaim $0.12 resistance while improving momentum indicators confirm whether the rebound can continue.
- Protocol v25 and a falling wedge support recovery hopes, while token unlocks still pressure demand.
PI traded near $0.099 on July 20, with daily trading volume above $42 million and a market capitalization of roughly $1.08 billion. The token moved between $0.0883 and $0.1019 during the session.
The rebound follows a difficult month for PI. The token remains down more than 26% over 30 days and about 78% over the past year. It also touched an all-time low of $0.070979 on July 14. The latest move has improved short-term momentum, but the broader chart still shows a long decline from levels above $0.50 in mid-2025.
PI Network price rebounds from its latest record low
Buying activity has increased since PI reached its July low. As crypto.news reported last week, the token had already posted a near-20% rebound after oversold conditions and improving wider market sentiment brought buyers back. The recovery continued after the Pi Core Team confirmed that Protocol v25 is scheduled for July 22.
The latest rise has again pushed PI toward the psychological $0.10 area. However, earlier rallies have faded quickly. In March, PI climbed toward $0.30 around its Kraken listing before losing more than 38% from its peak. That decline later took the token below $0.20 and resumed the wider downtrend.
For traders, the latest bounce therefore remains a recovery attempt rather than a confirmed reversal. PI needs to hold recent support and build higher lows before its longer-term price structure changes.
In addition, the daily chart shows PI forming a falling wedge after months of lower highs and lower lows. Crypto analyst Crypto With Gopal said, “Selling pressure is fading, and price is squeezing toward the wedge apex,” while pointing to a possible momentum shift. The pattern still requires a clear move above resistance and stronger volume for confirmation.
Momentum indicators have started to improve. The Relative Strength Index stands near 47.66, well above its recent moving average near 23.22. That recovery shows selling pressure has eased from oversold conditions. Still, RSI remains below 50, leaving momentum short of a clear bullish reading.

The MACD also shows early recovery signs. Its histogram has turned slightly positive near 0.00122, while the MACD line around -0.00986 has moved above the signal line near -0.01108. Both remain below zero, so the wider trend has not fully turned positive.
$0.12 to $0.15 remains the main resistance zone
PI now faces its next test between $0.12 and $0.15. A move above that range would place the token back above levels that acted as support before the July breakdown. As previously reported, $0.12 was already identified as a key recovery level after PI entered July near record lows.
The $0.10 level is the first area to watch. PI briefly traded above it during the latest session, but holding that level matters more than a short intraday move. A close above $0.10 followed by a break through $0.12 would strengthen the recovery setup. Failure to hold the rebound could bring the $0.088 area back into focus.
Recent history also calls for caution. PI has repeatedly posted strong short-term gains during its wider decline, only to return toward previous lows. The current setup changes only if buying volume stays firm and price starts reclaiming resistance levels that stopped earlier recovery attempts.
Protocol v25 and token unlocks shape the next move
The planned Protocol v25 upgrade gives traders a dated event to monitor. The upgrade is expected to improve network stability and introduce tools linked to more efficient, privacy-focused smart contracts. The announcement helped PI recover from its July 14 low, although price direction still depends on whether buyers maintain demand after the upgrade arrives.
Supply remains another factor. About 103.7 million PI tokens were scheduled to unlock during July, adding potential sellable supply to a market that has struggled with sustained demand. Earlier crypto.news analysis identified the balance between new ecosystem utility and token unlocks as a central factor for PI’s July price action.
Meanwhile, one large wallet has attracted attention after accumulating more than 400 million PI. The wallet continued buying while PI traded around record lows. Large holdings can draw market interest, but they do not remove pressure from scheduled unlocks or guarantee that a rebound will continue.
For now, PI has recovered from record lows and is testing $0.10 with improving RSI and MACD readings. A confirmed move above $0.12, stronger volume and RSI above 50 would provide clearer evidence that buyers are gaining control.
Until then, the rebound remains inside a broader downtrend, with the $0.12 to $0.15 range standing between PI and a stronger recovery.
